What were you looking for in a venue?
We were searching for something in New England, charming, open and affordable. After searching a few venues and narrowing down options we took a tour at Mill 1 and instantly knew it was what we wanted and it was within our budget. Zach liked that it was inside, in case it rained and we loved the character and blank slate.
Favorite Photos?
I loved the picture of us in front of the green door {left} and also my chain of females who always have my back {below}.
In your experience, which wedding details are worth sweating? I think the guest list was the most stressful. We both have very large families and wanted to make sure everyone was included without going over the top. In the end, it was a perfect day surrounded by everyone we love.
Which wedding details are NOT worth sweating?
I hand-made all of the centerpieces, name cards, favors, and signs (and my veil!). It took a TON of work but was so glad I was able to pull it off. It made our day feel so personal. For the centerpieces, I cut brass rods and wired together to make a geometric case dome, then we put fresh airplants in them and placed them on the tables. The name cards were made of hexagon tiles that I scripted everyone’s first names in gold, they could also be used for coasters and I made stickers and individually added them to the bottom of Hershey’s kisses.
What special details of your celebration are most memorable to you?
Our ceremony was so special. There were three languages in our ceremony, English, Hebrew and Gaelic. We combined many Irish and Jewish traditions with a modern twist. Having all of our family be a part of our celebration meant so much.
